Gemstone Weight calculates the weight or density of gemstones in carat. You need three dimensions of the gemstone.
You can choose between 32 grindings. It is possible to choose from the following grindings: round cuts with facets, marbles and pearls, cabochons, cabochon pear, oval cuts with facets, emerald cuts/emerald-cut, octagon square, rectangular-shape, square shape, heart shape, pear shape, marquise boa shape, rectangular cushions, square cushions, trillion, triangle, princess, trapez shape, trillants, briolette, lozenge, hexagon, heart cabochon, triangle cabochon, cushion cabochon, pentagon, kite, shield, half moon, fan, rondelle and old-european cut.
If you put in the maximum diameter, minimum diameter, the height and the density of the gemstone into your fields, you can calculate the average weight. You can choose out of over 120 default densities. Optional: Type in a different density manually.
If you choose the method of calculating recursively it is possible to calculate the density. You have to put in the maximum diameter, minimum diameter, the height and the weight of the gemstone. It is possible to use three decimals in the calculations.
In the app settings it is possible to choose more details like girdle, bulge or outline. You can choose them to reach a more precise result.
